Self Improvement (15)

Are you fed up with juggling the same job every day? Do you dread going to work? Have you lost motivation for the job you previously did with passion? The fact is that there is nothing wrong with you, but with you. What you need is a career change.

George Apiro, the head of guidance and counseling at the Ministry of Education, however, says career change requires a number of strategies and decisions to take. "Career change doesn't enable you to utilize your potential to another where you can utilize it fully," he says. "This career should be able to respond to your inner most attitude, interest and social inclinations."

Moving from one career to another is not a one-night decision. You need to carry out a lot of research in the new area you want to tread, and looking at who you are to re-discover yourself and interests. It involves looking at what you generally like and do not like, experts say.

We live in a time when image and outer beauty are overly emphasized. As such, it is only too easy for someone to concentrate on their outer image and forget to work on the inner self.

It is through cultivating the inner self that outer beauty begins to grow and radiates self-esteem and confidence. How many times have you gracefully accepted a compliment? This aside, have you been gracious enough to give that desired compliment?

Appreciating others is the beginning of blossoming inner beauty. A warm heart shine through your eyes, like the saying goes; eyes are the heart of the soul. Reach out to others with love. This will draw people to you. What is life if we do not share it with others? There are many ways in which you can cultivate inner beauty:

Self-discipline:
This goes a long way in improving your life and appearance. Avoid bad habits like gossiping, being too critical of others, overeating, over sleeping, and being lazy. You may not have control over the circumstances that come your way but you have control over the way you respond and react to them.

Think positively:
Never allow other people to determine who you are. Take control of your life and tell yourself that even if things are bad today, tomorrow will be a better day.

Be happy:
Happiness comes from inside you. It is a choice. No one is obliged to make you happy. You are solely responsible for your own happiness.

Affirm yourself:
You are a princess. How lovely it is when you tell yourself this and actually behave that way. It enhances your inner beauty and makes you radiant on the outside. Nobody can crush inner strength.

Pray for strength:
So that when the storm comes, you can stand strong and tall and know that there is a higher power that is in control. Celebrate each single day.

Dress with dignity:
This will make you dignified and people will want to associate with you. Go for garments that exude elegance, grace and style rather than those that are skimpy, too tight and too revealing. Be dignified in your conduct as well.

Self- improvement means making improvements in your personality according to your needs. Before opting for a self improvement program, it is important to define the areas where you need improvement.

No matter how perfect you think you are, there is always some room for improvement. Self improvement tips are necessary for everyone to identify the areas in which they need improvement.

In today’s volatile financial climate, many consumers are struggling to stay afloat. Power costs are up, prices of most goods are increasing, the shilling is fluctuating and the cost of living continues to shoot up. Most companies across the country are downsizing, cutting staff and closing departments.
